Proper Waste Management

Butler places a strong emphasis on EPA concerns, spending a significant portion of company revenue on training, safety and environmental compliance.

Under circumstances where we manage a facility for a customer, Butler arranges for the disposal of all waste associated with fleet maintenance and repair. In such instances, Butler includes the costs associated with the proper removal of the waste utilizing licensed waste disposal vendors.

Butler's waste management program consists of the following:

• Assign environmental compliance responsibility to the Butler Account Manager overseeing the customer fleet.
• Utilize 3E Company to maintain hazardous material records and MSDS for all products utilized, including Poison Control and Emergency Spill response.
• Conduct yearly HazCom training.
• Ensure that all hazardous waste haulers utilized for our program have proper documentation, insurance and an EPA number.
• Store recyclable waste materials in approved containers marked with identification labels and date of storage.
• Conduct field audits for EPA & Safety on a quarterly basis.
• Comply with all EPA and OSHA guidelines.
